Amra Silajdžić Džeko Supports Hair Cutting and Hair Donation Campaign in Bihać

As part of the ‘My Hair, Your Hair’ project, the Association is organising a hair cutting and hair donation event in Bihać to collect hair for children with cancer who need a wig.

The ‘My Hair, Your Hair’ project was supported by Amra Silajdžić Džeko, who also donated her hair. She also showed great commitment and humanity by becoming the first ambassador of the ‘A Heart for Children with Cancer’ association. Determined to make sure that the voice of children with cancer reaches as many people as possible, Amra used her own voice and supported the hair cutting campaign in Tuzla with a video message for all people in the Tuzla Canton.

This time around, Amra’s support was forthcoming as well. She has sent another video message to support the hair cutting and hair donation campaign in Bihać, inviting all people, especially those from the Una-Sana Canton and the city of Bihać, to support this charity event.

The Association hereby invites all people of good will to donate their hair for children with cancer who need a wig at the Bingo Centar shopping mall in Bihać, on 15 April from 10:00 to 16:00.

Those who wish to donate their hair should make sure that that the hair is clean, dry, chemically untreated and undyed, and at least 30 cm long (or, ideally, longer).

So far, we have woven and handed over 15 wigs, and six more wigs are to be completed soon. Wigs made in the Association’s wigmaking workshop are available, completely free of charge, to any child with temporary or permanent hair loss in order to help them regain self-confidence and successfully fit into their environment.
