On December 20, 2017, the Association “Heart for the kids with cancer in FBiH” signed the Cooperation Agreement with the University Clinical Center Tuzla.

The Agreement represents an introduction to the implementation of the project of psycho-social support at the Hematology and Oncology Department of the UCC Pediatric Clinic in Tuzla. The project will provide the children, the parents and the medical staff with the access to good quality psycho-social support and services that are necessary during the treatment and will ensure positive effects on the mental health of all stakeholders involved in the hospital treatment. Apart from the psycho-social support for the kids with cancer and their families, the Association will provide the support to UCC in Tuzla and the Hematology and Oncology Department in other segments, thus improving the quality of hospital treatment.

“We had no dilemma regarding the cooperation with the Association, since we have immediately recognized a good initiative and the focus on the wellbeing of our children. We believe this is a beginning of a wonderful story” said Professor FahrijaSkokić, Dr.med.sc., Assistant to the director for medical affairs of the Public Health Institution University Clinical Center Tuzla.
