Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH Fadil Novalić and Minister of Environment and Tourism Edita Äapo today paid a visit to the Association and the Parents' House.
The motive for the visit was briefing the FBiH Government representatives about the House’s activities over the past two years and the benefits the Parents’ House provides to children with cancer and their parents.
Touring the House, the prime minister and minister had a chance to speak to the House beneficiaries, that is, the parents of the children treated at the Haematology-Oncology Department and those staying at the Parents’ House. The prime minister and minister voiced their full support to the parents and their children. They were delighted by the House interior and features, as well as the comfort and conditions it provided to the children with cancer.
Since the opening of the House, the FBiH Government haspaid around BAM170,000 to the Association through various grants, whereas the prime minister said the support will keep coming in the future too, because the House has a tremendous value and an enormous significance both for the children with cancer and their families and for the whole BiH society. He promised his further support and said he remained a big friend of the Association and of the children with cancer and their families.
Minister Edita Äapo also voiced her support and commended the work of the Association and the Parents’ House. The Association expresses sincere gratitude to the continuing support of the FBiH Government in the construction and operations of the Parents’ House, and believes that governmental institutions and the NGO sector should build partner relations for the purpose of resolving and improving the status of our beneficiaries.
