The ceremonial handover of the donation cheque with the funds collected under the humanitarian aid campaign "Smile every day" took place on the premises of the Parents' Home.
The American Chamber of Commerce in BiH (AmCham BiH) in cooperation with the Association "the Heart for the Kids with Cancer" organised the Humanitarian Aid Campaign "Smile every day", with the aim of collecting funds for the smooth work of the Parents' Home, which exists only thanks to the philanthropic sensibility of individuals and some parts of the social structures. During the humanitarian campaign, a total of 79.000 BAM was collected, thus proving that the business community in BiH has not remained indifferent to the call of the American Chamber of Commerce in BiH to implement this socially responsible activity, which is to help the beneficiaries of the Parents' Home, specifically children with malignant illnesses.
At the ceremonial handover, on the premises of the Parents' Home, AmCham BiH and the Association "The Heart for the Kids with Cancer" once again thanked volunteers and donors for their generous support and donations, specifically to the followingdonors:
- in the Golden Donorcategory: Marić&Co, Symphony, Junuzović Foundation and Hifa petrol
- in the Silver Donorcategory: BH Telecom
- in the Bronze Donorcategory:Atlant BH, the Microcredit Foundation Partner and the start-up company Ministry of Programming
After the ceremonious delivery of the cheque, the donors had the opportunity to visit the premises of the Parents' Home where they became familiar with the working conditions in the Home, its beneficiaries and their needs.
It is important to note that the humanitarian campaign "Smile every day" was not only aimed at collecting donations and thus helping the work of the Home, but also at raising awareness of volunteerism. To this end, during the humanitarian campaign the AmCham BiH animated more than 30 volunteers from the BiH business community who volunteered andwere continuously engaged in the work in accordance with their affinities and capabilities.
