(120 kilometres away from Mostar we found help and support for our child)
Each family is a story on its own and each is equally special. The story of the Delalić family from Mostar starts with the heavy knowledge that their son Daris (3) suffered from the acute lymphoblastic leukemia. The initial shock and disbelief turned into strength, courage and grit in the period to follow.
The Delalićs also found their shelter and support in the Parents’ House. It offers everything they need and what they sought for far away from their home. They say that the House is their second home where they feel peace and positive energy. The Parents’ House is a place where all the fear is left behind at the doorstep being replaced by the break they need from heavy therapies and procedures they go through with their son in the hospital. The Parents’ House has been built with southeast facing windows opposite to the hospital. It is not a mere coincidence. A brighter future could be seen from the Portents’ House and the hard moments in hospital fall into oblivion.
So little, yet so strong and gritty, Daris cannot be stopped, and with his most beautiful smile he bravely strides to victory.
